3-day techno-fest begins today

Amritsar, October 16The department of computer engineering and technology of Guru Nanak Dev University is organising the 4th edition of their annual three-day national techno-cultural festival–‘POLARIS 2019’ from October 17 to 19. Dr Sandeep Sharma, head of the department, said this year anticipates an even amplified footfall credited to unprecedented attractions, sure to leave the spectators awestruck. Dr Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice-Chanceller, GNDU, will be especially present on the opening ceremony of this fest. Following his TED Talks on Blockchain, the festival will proceed to conduct its well-curated itinerary of 30 plus academic and entertaining events. ‘RUNUTSAV,’ a ‘Decathalon’ sponsored 5-km marathon and a special show by Great Indian Laughter Challenge 2017 finalist, Parvinder Singh, will also be held during the fest.

The technical fest shall be attended by Bobby Bhatia, a renowned tech entrepreneur and a mogul investor based out of Singapore and Hong Kong, serving currently as the founding CEO of ‘TrakLabs’. Following his TED Talks on Blockchain, the festival will proceed to conduct its well-curated itinerary of 30 plus academic and entertaining events. ‘RUNUTSAV,’ a ‘Decathalon’ sponsored 5-km marathon and a special show by Great Indian Laughter Challenge 2017 finalist, Parvinder Singh, will also be held during the fest. — TNS
