Soni for effective traffic, dengue management

Amritsar, November 1Cabinet Minister OP Soni chaired the District Grievances Redressal Committee’s first meeting wherein the issues of dengue and traffic management were discussed on priority. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Shivdular Singh, along with other administration officials. Soni said the every first Monday of the month would be allotted to the District Redressal Committee meeting and any official found absent would be punished. He discussed the ongoing 550th Prakash Parv celebrations, directing officials to ensure that safety and convenience of the sangat participating in the festivities be taken care of. He said the major routes leading to the Golden Temple should be maintained and sangats travelling from Sultanpur Lodhi and Dera Baba Nanak should not come across traffic congestion.—TNS
