GNDU win inter-university women’s cycling tourney

Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, November 2Guru Nanak Dev University and Punjabi University, Patiala, won the four-day All India Inter-University Track Cycling Championship (women and men category respectively), which concluded at Guru Nanak Dev University velodrome here on Saturday. Sukhdev Singh, organising secretary and head of sports department, said, in the women’s section, Guru Nanak Dev University stood first with 43 points while Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, remained second with 20 points. Panjab University got the third position with 15 points and RCU, Belagavi, got the fourth spot with 5 points. In the men’s section, Punjabi University secured the first position with 48 points, while Guru Nanak Dev University finished second with 27 points. Panjab University got the third position with 5 points, while the University of Kerala finished fourth with 4 points.
