Cycle rally to Dera Baba Nanak today

550TH PARKASH PURBAmritsar, November 2The Sport Department is organising various activities in view of the 550th Parkash Purb of Guru Nanak Dev. On November 3, the department will organise a cycle rally from here to Dera Baba Nanak. This was stated in a statement issued here today by Sports and Youth Services Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi. The rally will commence from Golden Gate and after passing through Majitha Bypass and Fatehgarh Churian, will culminate at Dera Baba Nanak. The rally would be received at Dera Baba Nanak by Cooperation and Jails Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and at Fatehgarh Churian by Rural Development and Panchayats and Higher Education Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa.

On November 3, the department will organise a cycle rally from here to Dera Baba Nanak. This was stated in a statement issued here today by Sports and Youth Services Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi. The rally will commence from Golden Gate and after passing through Majitha Bypass and Fatehgarh Churian, will culminate at Dera Baba Nanak. The rally would cover 64.9 km and 550 players would participate in it. Halt points would be set up at every 15 km which would be equipped with every facility and the volunteers would also be deputed for the assistance of the participating cyclists. Out of these, 100 cyclists would be from the cycling coaching centres. Each cyclist completing the race would be given a medal and a certificate. The departmental officers, coaches, NSS volunteers and NCC cadets would take care of the rally. The rally would be received at Dera Baba Nanak by Cooperation and Jails Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and at Fatehgarh Churian by Rural Development and Panchayats and Higher Education Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa. — TNS
