Three booked for murder bid

Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, November 8Around a week after the incident, the Rajasansi police have registered a case for an attempt of murder against three unknown persons, who shot at a driver of a van supplying newspapers near Dalam village on November 1. The victim said on November 1, after supplying newspapers in Rajasansi, Kukkranwala and Dalam village, he was going towards Ajnala in his car. When he reached near Dalam village drain, he found a car with temporary number standing on the road side. Investigating Officer Sukhjinder Singh said a complaint was received on Thursday and a case was registered against unknown persons. Onkar Singh stated to the police that he supplied supply newspapers from Amritsar to various villages.

Amritsar, November 8 Around a week after the incident, the Rajasansi police have registered a case for an attempt of murder against three unknown persons, who shot at a driver of a van supplying newspapers near Dalam village on November 1. The victim said on November 1, after supplying newspapers in Rajasansi, Kukkranwala and Dalam village, he was going towards Ajnala in his car. When he reached near Dalam village drain, he found a car with temporary number standing on the road side. When he went closer, three youth with covered faces came out of the car and warned to teach him a lesson. He said the accused were equipped with weapons. One of them hit with a baseball on the front glass. After this, he came out of the car, following which another youth attacked him with a sharp weapon. He said he tried to escape from the spot when they opened fire at him. He sustained splinters injuries on his right thigh. He stated that when people started gathering, the suspects accused fled the spot in their car while onlookers took him to hospital for treatment. According to the police, the vicitim, Onkar Singh, a resident of Ajnala, did not lodge any complaint with the police then. Investigating Officer Sukhjinder Singh said a complaint was received on Thursday and a case was registered against unknown persons. Onkar Singh stated to the police that he supplied supply newspapers from Amritsar to various villages.
