Lack of political will stalls city development projects

The project has been delayed as the MC has failed to remove clubs from the garden. Similarly, even after getting the tag of open-defecation free (ODF) city, most of the toilets built to achieve the target remain under lock. The façade up gradation and beautification projects of outer ring road have the same story, where MC seems helpless to remove kiosks for the implementation of projects. Kulwant Singh, a local resident, said, “We have written to Union Minister Hardip Singh Puri to keep a check on the Central-sponsored projects.
