550 homeless families given 5-marla plots

Our CorrespondentTarn Taran, November 12As many as 550 homeless families of Patti Vidhan Sabha constituency were given five-marla residential plots during a function organised in Patti. Cabinet Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi was the chief guest of the function, which was organised under the leadership of Patti MLA Harminder Singh Gill. Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, in his address, highlighted the various developmental schemes of the state government for development of all sections of society. The beneficiary families were given registration certificates of plots, on which they would be authorised to build their houses. Deputy Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal, SSP Dhruv Dahiya and Patti SDM Amit Mahajan were among those present on the occasion.

Member of Parliament Jasbir Singh Dimpa, too, was present on the occasion. The function was dedicated to the 550th birth anniversary celebrations of Guru Nanak Dev. Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, in his address, highlighted the various developmental schemes of the state government for development of all sections of society. He said the Captain Amarinder Singh-led government was equally concerned about the interests of farmers as well as other sections. The beneficiary families were given registration certificates of plots, on which they would be authorised to build their houses. Deputy Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal, SSP Dhruv Dahiya and Patti SDM Amit Mahajan were among those present on the occasion.
