Amritsar, April 28Officials of BSNL went on a mass causal leave here today. Activists of the Joint Forum of BSNL Executives Association said they had been demanding a hike in the salary for the past four years, but to no avail. The protesters said 75 junior telecom officers, sub-divisional officers and divisional officers were on leave. KS Pannu, district secretary of the Joint Forum of BSNL Executives Association, said, “If the government doesn’t meet our demands till April 30, we will start a relay hunger strike that will go on till May 10.” — TNS
