Snatchers target two devotees

Unidentified miscreants targeted devotees at Golden Temple, snatching their valuables. Meanwhile, another victim, Sameer Kumar, complained that he, along with his wife, was going to a hotel after paying obeisance to Golden Temple yesterday evening. The Civil Lines police have registered a case under Sections 379-B and 34 of the IPC. ASI Ashwani Kumar, in charge of the Circuit House police post, said a case under Sections 379-B and 34 of the IPC was registered. When the couple alighted from the autorickshaw they were travelling in, two youngsters on a bike snatched the purse of his wife.

Amritsar, April 29 Two snatching incidents have been reported in the city 24 hours. Unidentified miscreants targeted devotees at Golden Temple, snatching their valuables. In the first case, Satish Kumar, a visitor at Golden Temple, stated in his complaint to the Civil Lines police that he, along with his family, was returning from Darbar Sahib after paying obeisance and heading towards the railway station on a rickshaw when two bikers snatched his wife’s hand bag near Bhandari Bridge. The accused fled in no time. Kumar said his wife lost Rs 1,000, a mobile phone and some important documents. The Civil Lines police have registered a case under Sections 379-B and 34 of the IPC. ASI Jaswinder Kumar, investigating officer, said the police were trying to get the footage of CCTVs installed nearby. Meanwhile, another victim, Sameer Kumar, complained that he, along with his wife, was going to a hotel after paying obeisance to Golden Temple yesterday evening.
