Cong resorts to vendetta politics: SAD

Amritsar, April 29SAD leaders have accused the Congress government in the state of resorting to vendetta politics. The leaders of the SAD warned the Congress ministers, MLAs and workers against resorting to such actions. All such activities are done on the directions of Congress ministers, MLAs and workers in the state, he said. MP Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, former MLAs Virsa Singh Valtoha, Harmeet Singh Sandhu and Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, in a joint statement issued here today, said SAD workers, police officials and other public servants were being harassed. He alleged that wheat crop of farmers was being forcefully harvested by others, and farmers were feeling helpless.

MP Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, former MLAs Virsa Singh Valtoha, Harmeet Singh Sandhu and Ravinder Singh Brahmpura, in a joint statement issued here today, said SAD workers, police officials and other public servants were being harassed. “Capt Amarinder Singh had promised development of the state in his manifesto, but he has started taking revengeful steps against SAD workers, who are called at police stations and insulted at the behest of Congress leaders,” said Brahmpura. He alleged that wheat crop of farmers was being forcefully harvested by others, and farmers were feeling helpless. All such activities are done on the directions of Congress ministers, MLAs and workers in the state, he said. The SAD leaders’ statement states that the Congress MLA from Khadoor Sahib, Ramanjit Singh Sikki, during his pre-election campaign, tried to portray his image as a religious person “but after the elections, he forgot religious ceremonies, rituals and people as evident in a recent video clip of Garry Pehalwan, who is close to Congress MLA Sikki”. The leaders of the SAD warned the Congress ministers, MLAs and workers against resorting to such actions. — TNS
