Amritsar, July 13While alleging police inaction, the Revolutionary Marxist Party of India (RMPI) today threatened to hold an agitation outside the Division C police station on July 17. They alleged that the police authorities released the suspected women who were held in a theft case. Jagtar Singh Karampura of the RMPI said the police was deliberately shielding the accused. Surinder Kumar, a dairy owner, said he had lodged a complaint with the Division C police regarding a theft of 400 gm of gold from his residence. He had suspected that the three women who used to work in his house as domestic help had committed the crime.
