An inquiry was conducted by SP (Investigations) of Amritsar rural police while a case was registered following the approval of district police chief.” Interestingly, the complaint was received over one year ago but the police have registered the case now under Sections 380, 120-B and 497 of the IPC after investigating the matter. The incident occurred in October 2015 and the family had complained in April 2016.

Interestingly, the complaint was received over one year ago but the police have registered the case now under Sections 380, 120-B and 497 of the IPC after investigating the matter. Efforts were on to arrest them, the police said. The incident occurred in October 2015 and the family had complained in April 2016. The case was registered following an inquiry conducted by a senior cop. The complainant, Harjit Kaur, a resident of Mahal Colony in Ajnala, said, “On October 1, 2015, Gagandeep and her brother Jatinder Singh stole around 120 gm gold jewellery and around Rs 2 lakh from the house. An inquiry was conducted by SP (Investigations) of Amritsar rural police while a case was registered following the approval of district police chief.”
