2 booked for acid attack

Tribune News ServiceAmritsar, July 20The Division A police have booked two persons for allegedly throwing acid on a local resident, Satnam Singh alias Ghula. They entered into an altercation, following which the accused beat them up and one of them threw acid on him, he alleged. The victim said on the intervening night of July 17 and 18, he along with his friend went to Krishna Nagar where the accused were present. Ranjit Singh , investigating officer, said the accused were on the run. A case under Section 326-B of the IPC has been registered against them.

Amritsar, July 20 The Division A police have booked two persons for allegedly throwing acid on a local resident, Satnam Singh alias Ghula. No arrest has been made so far. The accused have been identified as Vasu and Sakki. The victim said on the intervening night of July 17 and 18, he along with his friend went to Krishna Nagar where the accused were present. They entered into an altercation, following which the accused beat them up and one of them threw acid on him, he alleged. He sustained burn injuries on his eyes and lips. Ranjit Singh , investigating officer, said the accused were on the run. A case under Section 326-B of the IPC has been registered against them.
