Amritsar, November 22 The traffic police don’t allow anyone to stop their vehicles in the middle at Heritage Street in Maharaja Ranjit Singh Chowk near the Saragarhi parking but sightseeing buses can be seen making halts there. These buses stop in the middle of the street to pick up passengers, causing inconvenience to visitors. Sightseeing buses also upset the visitors as they obstruct those who want to get photographs clicked with the statue of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Heritage Street. These buses block the view of the street. A bus driver said more passengers board the bus if they see a bus was parked near Heritage Street. The administration has reserved the parking place for sightseeing buses on the corner of Saragarhi Gurdwara. “The initiative of the government to start double-decker buses is appreciable but these should not be parked in the middle of Heritage Street,” said Sarbajit Singh, a visitor.— TNS
