Saibaba Sansthan Trust to give Rs 15cr for MRI machine at GMCH Aurangabad

The Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust at Shirdi has agreed to give Rs 15 crore to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here for the purchase of a 3 Tesla MRI machine.In a letter issued on Monday to the principal secretary of the law and justice department of Maharashtra government, the trust said that the funds will be provided under the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, Shirdi rules 2004, article 17, which talks about funds for human welfare or emergency assistance.It further states that the trust’s management committee has decided to the grant the money, considering that the state-run hospital caters to a large number of patients in Marathwada and Jalgaon.During the annual district meeting in February, Sudhir Mungantiwar, minister of finance and planning, had said that the machine will be purchased through funding by the Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust.
