MSEDCL employees volunteer to save water

Marathwada is prone to deficient monsoon and therefore scientific methods have to be adopted for conserving each drop of water received through rainfall. Aurangabad: Around 100 employees associated with Aurangabad division of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) volunteered for water conservation work in Golegaon village of Khultabad taluka on Sunday.Leading by example, MSEDCL joint managing director Omprakash Bakoria proactively took part in this initiative that is taken up by non-profit group Paani Foundation. Bakoria, who was also joined by his wife, reached the spot early in the morning and took part in different activities along with his staffers till 11 am.“Water conservation is the become need of the hour. To contribute towards the cause, the state power utility decided to put in the desired labour as a token of our support,” deputy chief public relations officer of MSEDCL Sunil Jadhav said.While the top-brass of MSEDCL had appealed for the volunteering work at Golegaon, several employees and staffers responded to the call by extending their wholehearted support.Paani Foundation is a not-for-profit company set up in 2016 by the team of the TV series Satyamev Jayate to fight drought in rural Maharashtra.
