Paediatric surgeons to meet in Aurangabad next month

AURANGABAD: The 15th national conference of paediatric surgeons and paediatric urologists will be held in Aurangabad on July 28 and 29. Until recent years, paediatric surgery was a part of paediatrics. Ramesh Bajaj, Vidyanand Deshpande, Pinakin Pujari, Sayed Qaisaroddin, Ramdas Nagargoje and Pradeep Rathod are among organizers of this conference. However, now it has nowbecome a fully developed branch.Paediatric surgery, a sub speciality of surgery, deals in surgical procedures on foetuses, infants, children, adolescents and young adults. It arose in the 19th century as surgical care for birth defects required novel techniques and methods.This conference will have participants from across the country.

The event will witness deliberations about technical aspects of the ever evolving branches of paediatrics.Organising committee chairman Bhagwat Karad and secretary RJ Totla said the conference will be held at Hotel Ajanta Ambassador. Specialists will give lectures on various topics of the field. Until recent years, paediatric surgery was a part of paediatrics.
