Sena hones oratory skills to go solo in 2019 polls

Care will be taken to offer women too this training in adequate numbers.

Aurangabad: As a part of its decision to go it alone in the 2019 state assembly and Lok Sabha polls, Shiv Sena on Sunday convened a meeting of selected party workers from three districts of Marathwada to offer training in oratory and tips on how to be good spokespersons for the party.Candidates are invited to observe mannerisms of effective speakers and reach out to people. They are also being offered tips on what to highlight in their speeches. District Shiv Sena chief Ambadas Danve said this camp was meant for workers in three districts -- Aurangabad, Beed and Latur.Senior party functionaries and spokespersons from Mumbai and other parts of the state were invited to address the gathering. The party leadership of the district unit has been assigned the job of naming these five, who will be trained further in Mumbai to fine-tune oratory skills.Those attending these sessions will also be given training in appropriate body language and how to put across the party’s line on select subjects.Hundreds of activists attended the meeting on Sunday; five each from each district will be chosen for further training, a party leader said. Care will be taken to offer women too this training in adequate numbers.
