NGO helps top executives beat stress through meditation

Aurangabad: An NGO has reached out to around 300 people, including top officials and heads of institutions, to help them beat stress through meditation.The exercise has received an impressive success with significant changes in self-confidence and emotional.As part of its initiative, Changemakers Welfare Foundation covered individuals holding administrative positions in different private and government organisations across the state.While explaining the idea behind the project, Mansi Karajgaonkar, the founder of Changemakers Welfare Foundation, said that 10% of people in society make decisions for the rest. While a common man has one or two tasks at hand and still struggles handling all of them, the person heading an institution or is having a responsibility over a large number of people is expected to undertake many duties,” said Karajgaonkar.The NGO first reached out to these individuals at a personal level and suggested that they practice a 20-minute meditation regime for a month to see whether it helps them.“The targeted people who followed the Omkar meditative practice found an increase in their emotional quotient, reduction in occupational stress and felt the change in their behaviour,” Karajgaonkar said.
