SCR to launch upgraded mobile app for booking of unreserved tickets

“The app is made to protect the interest of customers. “Digitization of railway services has been a priority area of Union railway ministry and it is being taken forward by the SCR with the implementation of various digital avenues for the convenience of passengers,” he said. Aurangabad: As the upgraded mobile application for Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) is scheduled for launch across the South Central Railway (SCR) on Monday, the authorities have appealed to passengers to take benefit of the state-of-the-art facility.“The mobile app, which is expected to benefit a large section of passengers who travel daily in unreserved segment, will be useful in saving time for purchasing tickets without standing in queues at counters,” divisional railway manager for SCR Nanded division, Trikalagya Rabha said on Saturday.The app is available on andriod, iOS as well as windows phones, authorities said.Elaborating on the features of UTS mobile app, authorities said that the app covers 554 UTS stations across the SCR jurisdiction including Aurangabad and Nanded among other major stations.The users can create a Railway Wallet (R-Wallet) and avail 5% bonus on every recharge.
