Subsequently, CEO Vijaykumar Nair issued a letter addressed to the fasting individuals.Virendra Gaikwad said, “A decision was made to call of the agitation as the CEO’s reply was 90% satisfactory.”In his reply, the CEO has stated that the property tax in Cantonment has been increased after 19 years and that it is still less than that charged by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation.The hike was imposed from 2016-17, and according to the Cantonments Act 2006, the officials will hold the right to take a decision on it, the letter stated.On the demand for evening OPD, Nair stated that the hospital staff is available during evening hours and the medical investigations and treatment are continued.
