Aurangabad: The All India Association for Advancing Research in Obesity (AIAARO) will organise the 13th National Conference on Obesity in the city from September 7 to 9.According to the organisers, India has the second highest obese population in the world. The conference is organised as part of the fight against this public health crisis and with an aim to reduce the health hazards.“Faculties from across the globe will be participating in the conference. The event will provide opportunities for delegates and students to interactively present their work, listen to newer concepts and exchange their views. Hopefully this conference will prove to be the benchmark to titrate guidelines to tackle the obesity from paediatrics to geriatrics,” a release by the organisers said.The organising committee comprises Hemant Phatale, Pramod Gandhi, Ganesh Kulkarni, Priti Phatale and Amit Naghate.The workshop on certificate course will be on September 7, the main conference and the exclusive conference on paediatric & adolescent obesity will be on September 8 and the nutrition symposium, women & health bariatric surgery and free papers are scheduled for September 9.
