Key accused in Salar Jung estate case gets bail

The high court has asked him to surrender his passport and to not leave the jurisdiction of the trial court without prior permission. He has also been asked to remain present at Jinsi police station every Thursday and cooperate in the ongoing probe.Earlier the court has granted a regular bail to the architect Naveed Ahmed, who had done valuation of the properties, and anticipatory bail to lawyer Ganesh Nikam in the case. Aurangabad: The Aurangabad bench of the Bombay high court has granted bail on medical grounds to the key accused in the case of cheating, forgery and illegally preparing a general power of attorney (GPA) for selling the Salar Jung Estate properties.The accused Mohammed Naseeruddin Qureshi was facing charges of claiming to be administrator of the estate of Salajung III and allegedly selling off prime properties of the estate by using forged GPA.The court on July 31 referred Qureshi to the medical board of the Government Medical College and Hospital here to verify his state of health.Justice Sangitrao Patil cited the medical board’s opinion and granted him conditional bail earlier this week.Lawyer Prashant Nagargoje said Qureshi has been suffering from chronic kidney ailment.
