A patrol team got information that one Tukaram Hivarale was selling illicit liquor from his residence in Chhota Murlidharnagar area.Accordingly, the police raided his house and arrested Hivarale with illicit liquor worth Rs 1,092. In another raid carried out in Milindnagar area, the police arrested 26-year-old Santosh Kalyani and seized illicit liquor worth Rs 1,040 from his possession.The City Chowk police have registered two offences against as many people for selling illicit liquor. The woman was arrested and liquor worth Rs 572 was seized from her possession.The Waluj police have registered three different cases of illicit liquor sale in industrial area. A crime branch team was patrolling the area when they were informed about 23-year-old Satish Salve selling liquor without permission. They raided the suspect’s place in Bajajnagar and arrested him with illicit liquor wort Rs 2,080.Similarly, the police arrested Ramesh Kirtishahi of Ambedkarnagar Jogeshwari while he was selling illicit liquor at NRB Chowk in the industrial area and seized liquor worth Rs 2,288 from him.The police also raided Ektanagar area and arrested 48-year-old Shivaji Pimplke for selling liquor on the bank of a nullah.
