Aurangabad: The alleged low remuneration for teachers working on the clock-hour basis (CHB) in institutions of higher learning and the demand for lifting the ban on recruitment of teachers among other issues will be raised during a special conference to be organised here on October 22.Jointly organised by different organisations, the event will witness discussions and deliberations on key issues in the presence of different stakeholders, organisers said on Tuesday.Ulhas Udhan, who is associated with Marathwada Association for Students, said CHB teachers continue to suffer due to paltry salaries, which are in the range of Rs 5,000 to Rs 8,000, despite discharging their duties diligently.“Both state-run and private institutions rope in teachers on clock-hour basis to overcome the issue of staff crunch.
