Two including minor nabbed for role in series of HBTs

Aurangabad: The crime branch of the city police has nabbed two suspects, including a minor, who are allegedly involved in a series of house break-ins and thefts that they have committed in the limits of the city police.The arrested accused has been identified as 19-year-old Anil alias Sonu Dnyaneshwar Dabhade of Nagsen nagar, while his 17-year old accomplice has been sent to a juvenile correctional home, after being produced before the child welfare committee.The crime branch’s assistant inspector Rahul Suryatal informed that with the arrest of the accused, many more property offences, especially mobile theft offences are set to be solved by the police in the days ahead. This is because it is suspected that they are involved in various other thefts and house break-ins in locations across the city.The crime branch team has launched a manhunt for the their accomplice, also a minor, for allegedly playing a key role in the series of property offences committed by them in different parts of the city.The police have recovered a couple of cellphones that the accused had allegedly stolen from the house of one Gajanan Varte of Eknathnagar on October 2, while the family happened to be fast asleep in their house.Explaining about the modus operandi of the accused, crime branch inspector Madhukar Sawant maintained that the accused would go on a theft spree during the night, by trying to sneak in to various houses through the windows and would leave with whatever they could get their hands upon.
