Aurangabad: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) conducted an audit of of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Monday as part of its campaign to identify the difference in public healthcare services between Delhi and Maharashtra.The party delegation led by district convener Sugriv Munde visited different wards and facilities of the state-run hospital and compiled a report of their findings.According to Munde, in stark contrast to the Swachha Bharat Abhiyaan of the government, poor sanitation plagued the hospital. “The patient bathrooms are very dirty and stink horribly. Both men and women have to use the same washroom in the wards. In addition, garbage has piled up in various corners,” said Munde.The delegation found out that the facilities at the ICU and the burn ward was not air conditioned. “The ICU does not have an AC for one and a half years while the burns wards is longing for an AC for the last three years,” stated the party.
