4 private insurance firm executives held for fraud

AURANGABAD: Aurangabad city police arrested four executives of a leading private insurance company for allegedly causing loss to a customer, an industrialist from Aurangabad, by forging signatures and making it appear like he had surrendered policies on the verge of maturity.The accused executives not only cancelled the policies that were on the verge of maturity but also forged signatures of the customer and sent a letter to the State Bank of India's branch asking it to start deducting instalments for new policies from his bank account.Their misdeeds were exposed after industrialist Ranjit Panditrao Thorat (50) received a call from the bank informing him that signatures on the application requesting deduction of instalments did not match with bank records.The arrested accused, area sales manager Hemantkumar Pande (27), hailing from Ranchi in Jharkhand and three relationship managers, Vivek Tiwari (28) hailing from Hardua in Madhya Pradesh , Tushar Kulkarni (24) of Ashti in Beed district and Aman Shrivastav (25) of Hadapsar in Pune, are posted at the Pune office of the private insurer.
