Aurangabad: The annual traditional fair of Harsiddhi Devi will have several events like wrestling, kabaddi, horse exhibition and horse races. The events are organized from November 23 to 25 at the Harsiddhi Devi Akhada in Harsul. The programme is organized by the Harsiddhi Vyayam Shala and local villagers.The cultural carnival will begin on Friday with the Harsiddhi Devi Yatra. The exhibition, dance performances and the horse race will also be held on the same day. Cash prizes of up to Rs11,000 have been announced for the competitions. From 6 to 10pm, an entertainment programme led by a team of musicians will headline the evening programme.On Saturday, the festival will witness wrestling matches from 9am to 2pm. Cash prizes from Rs100 to Rs10,000 have been announced for the competition. Wrestlers from nearby villages are expected to participate in the festival.An exhibition of cattle and domestic animals will be held on November 25 from 8am to 11am. From 12pm on the same day, the kabbadi competition will begin. The first prize for the kabbadi competition is Rs11,111, second is Rs7000 and third prize is Rs5000. Teams can register on the same day between 8 and 11am.Harsul corporator Poonamchand Bamne has appealed to the public to participate in the festival wholeheartedly.
