Aurangabad: Childline 1098, Nanded along with the help of the Hingoli police, about 225 kms from here, on Tuesday rescued a 10-year old girl from a railway employee’s house in Vasmat, where she had been forced to undertake domestic labour.The operation was carried out after the helpline received specific information that a minor girl is being forced in to domestic labour by a central government employee and his wife for the past couple of years.Acting on the information, a team led by the helpline’s Asha Suryawanshi and Balaji Alewar rushed to Vasmat and took the police’s assistance in rescuing the girl.Following the development, Hingoli superintendent of police Yogesh Kumar has expressed concerns over a government employee indulging in child labour.Senior police inspector Ravindersingh Dhunne told TOI, “After the team reached the suspects’ house, the minor girl was seen doing the domestic work.
