Aurangabad IAP branch gets top award

AURANGABAD: The Aurangabad branch of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) was conferred the best branch title for 2018 at a programme held recently in Mumbai.The Aurangabad IAP is an association of 182 paediatricians. Sodhi said that the recognition helps boost the morale of the doctors so they can continue working for the welfare of society. It claimed the award across the country in the 101 to 200 members category. Awareness programmes for the public on lactation, ORS, healthy lifestyle, vaccination and daughters’ day were a few of them. The Maharashtra Medical Council accredited the CME for updating the knowledge of doctors, which was conducted with faculty from different fields.The certification to the branch was given by the IAP president Digant D Shastri and secretary general Remesh Kumar.

The award was received by the secretary of the association Roshni Sodhi at the national conference Pedicon 2019, the 56th annual conference of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics held in Mumbai from February 6 to 10.President Rishikesh Thakre, treasurer Abhay Jain and senior paediatricians Rajendra Vaidya, Mandar Deshpande, Rajendra Gandhi and others were present.The association has been holding various academic, social and cultural activities throughout the year. Awareness programmes for the public on lactation, ORS, healthy lifestyle, vaccination and daughters’ day were a few of them.
