Not just that, the event saw naturalists and researchers from Aurangabad and other cities discuss the need for conserving birds and why it is necessary. Schools and colleges showed their participation wherein the students wrote essays on topics such as where have our sparrows gone, is tree plantation an effective solution, bird migration etc. The three-day event aimed at spreading awareness among citizens and students about various aspects of birds and their significant role in ecology with bird watching sessions, lectures and movie screenings. Taking to the importance of birds for environmental conservation, Environmental Research Foundation and Educational Academy (ERFEA), Institute of Engineers (India) and the Chamber of Marathwada for Industry and Agriculture (CMIA) organised the sixth bird festival in the city recently. The event also saw a photography exhibition where photos of birds were displayed.
