Railway top brass presses for timely pest control in trains

The pest control activity is carried out fortnightly for AC coaches, while once in a month for non- AC coaches and once in two months for general coaches.The SCR general manager also pressed for giving top priority while addressing passenger complaints, if any, related to linen supply and onboard housekeeping activities.The review meeting that was attended by divisional railway managers also laid emphasis on punctuality of train operations.

The divisional authorities have been instructed to keep focus on the maintenance of over-head equipment (OHE), signaling equipment, track maintenance and speed restrictions which have been identified as the causes for loss of the punctuality,” CH Rakesh, central public relation officer of SCR, said.While discussing the speed-related issues, the SCR top-brass has instructed officials to take all viable measures to improve the speed of passenger and freight trains. The review meeting also witnessed presentation on e-governance measures and its necessary implementation.
