Aurangabadkars celebrated Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti amidst dhol tasha recital

Taking to the streets of Aurangabad streets, youngsters perform dhol during the processing organised in the city as part of celebration Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti . Therefore, taking to his birthday anniversary as per tithi, Aurangabadkars celebrated his birthday with a cultural program. The procession saw youngsters performing to dhol tasha and legim. WhileChhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Birth Anniversary is celebrated on February 19, according to the Marathi calendar, his birthday is also celebrated according to the tithi which falls on Falgun Vadya Tritiya (third day of the month of Falgun which falls between Februaryand March). The procession started from Sansthan Ganpati temple and ended at Kranti Chowk.
