Man found with slit throat at garden

“The accused must have strangulated him before slitting his throat,” said an officer privy to the investigation.Police were busy scanning the footages of different CCTV cameras installed on the roads leading to Himayat Bagh till late Sunday night. Aurangabad: An owner of a private school was found dead with his throat slit in the Himayat Bagh area of the city on early Sunday morning.The deceased has been identified as Vishwas Chandrashekhar Suradkar (33), a resident of Shrikrushna Nagar in N-9, Cidco. Archana called Vishwas at 11.45pm the same night but the call went unanswered.Forensic experts suspected that the man was murdered sometime in the wee hours of Sunday. A forensic team was also roped in for collecting evidence from the crime scene.The historical garden dating back to the Mughal-era, where Vishwas was found, is a favourite place for morning walkers. Senior police officers, including deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Nikesh Khatmode Patil and inspector at Begumpura police station Rajshri Adhe, rushed to the spot.

Based on the complaint lodged by his twin brother Vinod, police have detained a relative and a manhunt has been launched for three others.The incident came to light when the watchman at Himayat Bagh spotted the body around 8.30am on Sunday. He immediately brought the matter to the attention of the police. Senior police officers, including deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Nikesh Khatmode Patil and inspector at Begumpura police station Rajshri Adhe, rushed to the spot. The incident has sent shockwaves among the residents and those who go to the park for walking.Adhe said that Vinod stated in his complaint that his brother had taken a loan of Rs 86 lakh from a relative and that a dispute was going on between the two for delay in repaying the loan. The suspect was reportedly demanding the principal amount along with the interest, taking the total tally to Rs 2 crore.Vishwas, who was running a school in the Hudco area for the last few years, had decided to sell off their house and return the loan. Recently, he had sought two three months time from the suspect for selling the house.Preliminary probe has revealed that around 8.30pm on Saturday, Vishwas left his home without informing anyone. His wife Archana, along with their son, had gone to Pune to meet her sister. Vinod was at home. Archana called Vishwas at 11.45pm the same night but the call went unanswered.Forensic experts suspected that the man was murdered sometime in the wee hours of Sunday.
