Jawan murders pregnant wife, 3-year-old daughter

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: An Army jawan (32) on Wednesday morning strangulated his wife and three-year-old daughter at their home in Nanded district and surrendered to police.On learning about the incident, a police team went to their house at Bori village in Kandhar tehsil of Nanded and found the jawans wife and daughter lying motionless. They took Bhagyashri Jaybhay (25) and Saraswati to a hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival. Bhagyashri was in her eighth month of pregnancy. Eknath Jaybhay was posted in the Bikaner Army Cantonment, Rajasthan and came home on leave about four days ago. SP Shrikrishna Kokate told TOI, Preliminary probe indicated that the jawan was suspicious of his wifes character and murdered her as well as their daughter. The accused jawan and his parents have been arrested.
