Group against politicians attending Sammelan

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The members of Sakal Maratha Samaj are opposed to the politicians led by deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar attending and inaugurating the two-day Marathwada Sahitya Parishads 43rd Marathwada Sahitya Sammelan, to be organised in Gangapur tehsil of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.The event, which will start from Saturday, is scheduled to be inaugurated by deputy CM Ajit Pawar, while agriculture minister Dhananjay Munde has been invited as the chief guest.In addition, Beed district NCP MLA Prakash Solanke, and MLC Vikram Kale have been named as guests of honour for the event. MLC Satish Chavan is one of the organising committee members. To send the message loud and clear, the members of Sakal Maratha Samaj have submitted a written memorandum to Gangapur tehsildar opposing these politicians presence at the event.The memorandum says the Sakal Maratha Samaj is not opposing the Sammelan, but it appears that through this event, some politicians are doing self-marketing. We will utilise the democratic right to oppose the politicians, who have failed to fulfil the demand of OBC quota to the Maratha community.
