Aurangabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) has announced a weekly summer special train to Jaipur from March 10.According to an official release, the summer special train is scheduled to make 34 trips till July. The train (02731/02732) will originate from Hyderabad and halt at Nanded among few other Marathwada cities."The special train will leave from Hyderabad every Friday at 4.25pm and reach Nanded at 12.05am before reaching Jaipur at around 6.25am on Sunday. In its return journey, the train will leave from Jaipur every Sunday at 3pm and will reach Hyderabad via Akola and Nanded on Tuesday at 2am," an official release said.Nizamabad, Mudkhed, Nanded, Purna, Basmat, Washim, Akola, Khandwa, Bhopal, Ujjain, Ratlam, Ajmer and Mandar junction are some of the stations that summer special train would cover. It will have a total of 18 coaches.Omprakash Varma of advocacy group Marathwada Raiway Vikas Samiti said the SCR should press more summer special trains into service."It is already the beginning of March but no summer special trains have been announced yet except the train to Jaipur. It has become a regular practice of the SCR — neglecting needs of Marathwada passengers. Summer special trains to Kolkata and Bikaner should be started at the earliest," he said.Meanwhile, the Nanded-Amritsar Sachkhand Express will have additional stoppage at Chalisgaon station on experimental basis for a period of six months.Nanded-Amritsar Sachkhad Express will arrive at Chalisgaon station at 4.43pm and will have halt of around two minutes.
