Policemen’s children bag jobs at fair

Aurangabad: A job fair organised by the Aurangabad city police, for their kin, in association with the district skill development employment and entrepreneurship guidance centre, Aurangabad. Leading job consultants including Association of Muslim Professionals, F.Gheewala Human Resources Consultants, and Human Resource Consultants took part in the event.Three leading job consultants and 44 companies, including 24 local companies and about 15 multi-national companies with pan-India presence had come to Aurangabad with about 5,000 jobs. By the time, the fair ended 60 youth had walked out with offer letters. All of them had a chance to try their luck with one or more companies at a single go. "Aurangabad superintendent of police Arti Singh said the noble move is set to change lives for many.

Another 710 have been selected by job consultants for final round at the respective company's offices.Sources privy to the development said many a times it happens, after witnessing the suffering and stress their parents go through while serving in the police department, the children refrain from joining the police department. The event was an attempt by the commissioner of police to find a solution for such cases.Aurangabad commissioner of police Yashasvi Yadav said, "Like all parents, policemen also want their kids to be settled with a job having a fat payscale. Unfortunately our men do not find time to concentrate on their ward's academics and future. This move is a solution to the concerns of our policemen."Aurangabad superintendent of police Arti Singh said the noble move is set to change lives for many. "The move is simultaneously set to send a strong sense of bonding within the department," said Singh.As per data collected by the city police's welfare department, wards of ex-policemen belonging to Aurangabad city police, Aurangabad range comprising Aurangabad rural, Jalna, Beed and Osmanabad district police participated in the job fair. Additionally children of sleuths serving with the state reserve police force, indian reserve battalion, crime investigation department, state intelligence department also participated in the job fair.Deputy commissioner of police (headquarter) Deepali Dhate said, "Out of the 1,357 entries received, 1,336 youths participated in interviews on Saturday. All of them had a chance to try their luck with one or more companies at a single go. Over 1,900 interviews were conducted."
