One held for murder of 14-year-old boy

Shahjahanpur: Police here have arrested a man in connection with the brutal murder of a 14-year-old boy outside his village in Sindhauli area of Shahjahanpur. A few months ago, Sarvinder singh and his brother Amar Singh alleged that Ballister had stolen the jewellery from their house and insulted him. Jister was married to the niece of Sarvinder Singh. He was waiting for a bus and planning to leave the city but couldn’t succeed. Ballister had then decided to take revenge and he got a chance on February 15 when he and Vikas were working alone in a cane field.

Shahjahanpur: Police here have arrested a man in connection with the brutal murder of a 14-year-old boy outside his village in Sindhauli area of Shahjahanpur. The postmortem of the body had indicated the boy was stabbed to death by more than one person, but initial police investigation indicated there was a lone murderer, said officers.Vikas Singh, son of Sarvinder Singh, was brutally murdered in Bhatpura Rasoolpur village on Thursday night and an FIR was registered against Ballister Singh under section 302 (murder) of the IPC on Friday.Police arrested Ballister Singh near Niyamat area of Shahjahanpur on Sunday morning. He was waiting for a bus and planning to leave the city but couldn’t succeed. During interrogation, he told police that his elder brother Jister Singh had committed suicide two years ago after he was insulted by the relatives of his wife. Jister was married to the niece of Sarvinder Singh. A few months ago, Sarvinder singh and his brother Amar Singh alleged that Ballister had stolen the jewellery from their house and insulted him. Ballister had then decided to take revenge and he got a chance on February 15 when he and Vikas were working alone in a cane field. He allegedly killed Vikas with a sickle.The postmortem of the body was conducted on Friday, which revealed multiple Injuries on head and throat and suggested that it was the act of more than one person. Dr Ajay Nagar, who supervised the autopsy told TOI, “It was an extremely brutal act as there were around 10 injuries on the head and throat of the body. The nature of injuries shows that sharp weapons were used for killing the child and it was certainly the act of more than one person.”Superintendent of police SC Shakya said, “We received a complaint against a person in this case and he has been arrested. Further investigations are in progress.”
