Kheri police lodge FIR after minor rape moves to CM’s ‘janta darbar’

Shahjahanpur: It took a 14-year-old rape survivor and her father to the CM’s “janta durbar” in Lucknow in order to make the Lakhimpur Kheri police to lodge an FIR in the matter.According to sources, the minor survivor and her father came to the CM’s “janta darbar” in Lucknow on Monday after they failed to register an FIR at the local police station in Lakhimpur Kheri district. She approached the station officer Ajay Yadav and the circle officer of the area to lodge her complaint. The accused will be arrested once the allegations of rape are found to be true.” The accused and the survivor belong to the same community and we didn’t want to book someone unnecessarily. We have sent the girl for medical test and the reports are awaited.
