RTO Bareilly to launch software Sarthi 4.0 from May 2

Bareilly: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) Bareilly will be launching an online-based software application ‘Sarthi version 4.0’ from May 2, 2018. Officials at RTO said that the software would enable issuance of driving license under which applicants can apply for driving licenses from any location and complete all the required procedure online. The applicant needs to visit the office just for verification of the documents submitted which include – signature, thumb impression and photograph. Vahan 4.0—online based software application for registration of vehicles is already implemented in RTO Bareilly,” said officials.Speaking with TOI, assistant regional transport officer (ARTO) RP Singh said, assistant regional transport officer (ARTO) RP Singh said, “The RTO is upgrading to Sarthi 4.0 from the existing 2.0 version in order to decongest the regional transport office which sees a huge crowd of applicants for licenses on a daily basis. The license will be delivered to the applicants via post.”

Vahan 4.0—online based software application for registration of vehicles is already implemented in RTO Bareilly,” said officials.Speaking with TOI, assistant regional transport officer (ARTO) RP Singh said, assistant regional transport officer (ARTO) RP Singh said, “The RTO is upgrading to Sarthi 4.0 from the existing 2.0 version in order to decongest the regional transport office which sees a huge crowd of applicants for licenses on a daily basis. With Sarthi 4.0, citizens will now be able to apply for a license and set an appointment for the driving test at Sarthi portal of the department from their homes and there will be no need for applicants to visit the RT office. The applicant needs to visit the office just for verification of the documents submitted which include – signature, thumb impression and photograph. The license will be delivered to the applicants via post.”
