Want leave to attend family events? Moradabad police will now have to share photos with seniors

From constables to inspector-rank officers, everyone will now have to upload photos of family celebrations for which they ask leaves. But now, junior staff can ask for leaves to attend family functions from the concerned station house officers and upload photos of the events. Moradabad: In a unique order, Moradabad senior superintendent of police (SSP) J Ravinder Gaud has made it mandatory for police officers to upload photos of family celebrations for which they ask leaves. We have asked senior officers to prepare a separate data of leaves taken for family occasions in all police stations. The directive mentions that photos of events such as birthday get-togethers, anniversary celebrations as well as retirement parties will have to be shared by the officers via WhatsApp to their seniors.

Moradabad: In a unique order, Moradabad senior superintendent of police (SSP) J Ravinder Gaud has made it mandatory for police officers to upload photos of family celebrations for which they ask leaves. The directive mentions that photos of events such as birthday get-togethers, anniversary celebrations as well as retirement parties will have to be shared by the officers via WhatsApp to their seniors. Senior officers said that the order was passed to ensure policemen “do not lie” when going on leaves.Speaking with TOI, Gaud said, “The order was issued after a meeting with police personnel across the district. We have asked senior officers to prepare a separate data of leaves taken for family occasions in all police stations. From constables to inspector-rank officers, everyone will now have to upload photos of family celebrations for which they ask leaves. The initiative will prove their sincerity towards the department.”The SSP added, “Policemen have to take permission for leaves from the district office. But now, junior staff can ask for leaves to attend family functions from the concerned station house officers and upload photos of the events. The pictures sent by them will be saved and remain easily accessible to us.”
