Shahjahanpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to hold UP’s first ‘Kisan Kalyan’ rally in Shahjahanpur on July 21.
Officials said that cops from other parts of the state will be deployed here.DPS Rathore, general secretary of BJP’s Shahjahanpur district unit, told TOI, “Shahjahanpur has been chosen for the first ‘Kisan Kalyan’ rally because of its high agricultural productivity.
Senior party leaders like Sunil Bansal, JPS Rathore, BL Agarwal, Suresh Khanna and Krishna Raj are expected to be present for the rally.”
Powayan tehsil here is the most productive sub-division of the state.
BJP sources told TOI that during his visit to the district, the PM will be highlighting his government’s pro-farmer measures such as revised MSP for crops and direct benefit transfer scheme.Ahead of his visit, BJP workers from neighbouring districts have been instructed to start preparing for the event and ensure that it is a grand success.
