Pilibhit: A night patrolling team of Pilibhit Tiger Reserve nabbed a poacher carrying a spotted deer head from Mahof forest range in the early hours of Tuesday.Identified as Shyam Bihari, 42, the man was arrested four years ago for poaching two tigers in Mahof and Barahi ranges respectively. He collected the head and intended to sell it, said forest officials. He was sent to jail in 2016 but got bail 18 months later.Now, the forest authorities have booked him under various sections of the Wildlife Protection Act and have sent him to jail.Bihari claimed that the deer had been killed and eaten by a tiger in Mahof range.
