Bareilly: In a shocking incident, a nine-year-old boy was sodomized allegedly by his neighbour in an abandoned factory under Kotwali police station area in Sambhal district.The boy used to address his 22-year-old neigbour as ‘bhaiya’ and trusted him. He was playing outside his house on Thursday evening when the youth approached him. The latter promised to give him toffees if the boy accompanied him to the nearby abandoned garments factory. Once they reached there, the youth allegedly sodomized him.The boy was sent for medical examination while an FIR was lodged against the accused on Friday morning.In his complaint with the police, the boy’s father said around 5 pm, his son was playing outside his house when Shawez lured him away. “There, he gagged my son and sodomized him. In the meantime, owner of the factory, Nazim, reached there. On spotting him, the accused fled from the scene after pushing my son on the floor. Shawez also threatened to kill my son if he dared to open his mouth,” the complainant said.Additional superintendent of police Pankaj Pandey said an FIR under IPC section 377 (unnatural sex) has been lodged. Raids are being conducted to nab the accused who is still at large.
