CS to Pilibhit officials: Maintain ideal student, teacher ratio

Inducting a change in existing controlling system, the chief secretary has empowered the district magistrates to hold strings of re-adjustment process. Prior to this, the power to transfer and post basic teachers was vested with basic shiksha adhikaris According to the district basic education coordinator, Rakesh Patel, Pilibhit has1,14,000 students in 1,231 primary and 571 upper primary schools, who are taught by 1,850 shiksha mitras and 3,200 teachers. Pilibhit: Chief secretary of UP Anoop Chandra Pandey has given directions to district authorities across the state to make re-adjustments of basic education teachers and shiksha mitras to maintain the ideal ratio to that of students in government primary and upper primary schools.He passed these directions via video conferencing held on Friday.
