Shahjahanpur: Uttar Pradesh BJP Kisan Morcha chief Chaudhary Raja Verma, while addressing farmers during PM Narendra Modi's 'Kisan Kalyan' rally in Shahjahanpur on Saturday, said "the Congress president, who aims to be the prime minister, is yet to learn India's culture and values. Payment of around Rs 1 lakh crore for wheat and paddy crops has been directly transferred to bank accounts of approximately 2.35 crore farmers during the BJP government. In Indian culture, youngsters take the blessings of elders by touching their feet, not by hugging them forcefully. Similarly, cane farmers have received a total payment of Rs 34k crore for their crop, but it was only 14k crore and during the Samajwadi Party government. "Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath also addressed the farmers and said, "The Union government has increased MSP on 14 crops and the farmers of UP have gained the most as a result of this.
