Police constable and watchman run over by a mini truck carrying buffaloes

Shahjahanpur: A police constable and a watchman, who were run over by a mini truck carrying buffaloes, died during treatment at Shahjahanpur district hospital on Friday. On Friday, Vipin was patrolling along with watchman Sumer,40, on a bike when they were run over by a mini truck near Hariyali Bazar. Locals immediately informed police about the accident and Roza police station in Shahjahanpur was alerted about the mini truck. Police have managed to seize the mini truck and the driver has been arrested. We have handed over the accused driver and truck to them because the FIR has been registered in Hardoi.”

Shahjahanpur: A police constable and a watchman, who were run over by a mini truck carrying buffaloes, died during treatment at Shahjahanpur district hospital on Friday. The victims were on a bike when they met with the accident near Shahjahanpur-Hardoi border which falls under the jurisdiction of Pihani police station in Hardoi district on Friday morning. They were rushed to hospital where both of them succumbed to their injuries. Police have managed to seize the mini truck and the driver has been arrested. An FIR under IPC’s sections 304 (A) and 279 (rash driving) has been registered against the accused at Pihani police station.Vipin Vaishla,25, was posted at Jahanikheda police post on Shajahanpur-Hardoi state highway. On Friday, Vipin was patrolling along with watchman Sumer,40, on a bike when they were run over by a mini truck near Hariyali Bazar. After the accident, the driver of the truck fled the accident spot. Locals immediately informed police about the accident and Roza police station in Shahjahanpur was alerted about the mini truck. The state highway was barricaded in Roza and the truck was finally seized by police and its driver was arrested.Roza station house officer Jasveer Singh told TOI, “We have seized the truck which was carrying buffaloes in it but we are not sure whether the accident was deliberate or unintentional as it was reported from Pihani area of Hardoi. We have handed over the accused driver and truck to them because the FIR has been registered in Hardoi.”
