Bareilly station to get night vision CCTV cameras

Bareilly: Northern railway is all set to install as many as 38 night vision infrared CCTV cameras, covering the entire Bareilly station premises, including all four platforms and foot overbridges, to enhance security. Station director Manoj Kumar said, “A control room has been set up at platform number 1. It will help us keep close eyes on all movements from all corners of the stations,” he said. Infrared CCTV cameras would be able to work even in the dark.”Railway officials said all the eight CCTV cameras installed earlier — at the entrance and outside the exit — would be replaced with the new infrared cameras.Telecommunication officer Manish Kumar said the installation work was advancing well and the control room would become operational in 10-15 days.“We are installing infrared CCTV cameras at three major stations — Bareilly, Haridwar and Moradabad — at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore.
